What an amazing berry. When Blueberries are in we drop everything and head for the blueberry fields. Then come the pies, the ice cream toppings, the blueberry pancakes, you name it. We even freeze bags of blueberries for the cold winter days when we need a touch of summer. This painting stayed on the easel a while as I worked on it and thought about all those good eats to come. As I watch my garden begin to produce, I am reminded of a phrase I one read from Diane Von Furstenberg. "Clarity is the most important thing. I can compare clarity to pruning in gardening, You know you need to be clear. If you are not clear, nothing is going to happen. You have to be clear. Then you have to be confident about your vision, And after that, you just have to put a lot of work in." I enjoy gardening, and the clarity it brings me, As I do painting.
